Oracle AI World 2026 was October 25-28 in Las Vegas, and if there was a single thread running through all four days, it was this: the era of AI as a novelty is over. The conversation has moved firmly from "what if" to "what now." Oracle's leadership returned again and again to a simple thesis—AI is abundant, but trust is scarce, and proven value is scarcer still. The announcements that filled the keynotes and session rooms were built around closing that gap.
Here's a walkthrough of what was covered.
This year’s event was organized around putting AI to work across databases, infrastructure, and the applications people use every day. The agenda followed a familiar rhythm—hands-on labs and hackathons on Sunday, mainstage keynotes on Monday and Tuesday, and closing sessions on Wednesday—but the content was anything but familiar.
Three keynotes anchored the week. CEO Mike Sicilia opened Monday with "Oracle: Where AI Means Business," pairing live demos with candid customer conversations. CEO Clay Magouyrk took the stage Tuesday morning to ask, "Now that AI works, what are we going to do with it?" And on Tuesday afternoon, Chairman and CTO Larry Ellison closed out the keynotes with a sprawling look at the new Oracle Health application suite and what he called the age of AI.
The OpenAI Partnership: Frontier Models Meet Enterprise Systems
Announced Tuesday was a sweeping collaboration with OpenAI designed to bring frontier AI directly into the heart of enterprise computing. The premise was that OpenAI's models, ChatGPT, and Codex would be woven together with Oracle's applications, data, and cloud infrastructure—putting AI to work across the systems that run the world's economy rather than leaving it on the periphery.
Several products gave that vision concrete shape. Oracle AI Security Mesh pairs OpenAI's frontier cyber models with Oracle's testing tools and operational safeguards to help organizations find and fix vulnerabilities across OCI, other clouds, and on-premises systems before attackers can exploit them. Customers define the scope and authorization; Oracle manages the safeguards to reduce the risk of disruption during testing.
Oracle App Composer lets employees turn ideas into enterprise applications without deep coding expertise, building with Codex while Oracle handles deployment and operations on OCI. It connects apps to approved Oracle data and workflows and applies enterprise identity, permissions, networking, and audit controls. Notably, it supports Oracle APEXlang, that delivers the speed of generative development without producing opaque, hard-to-maintain code.
For smaller organizations, the Oracle AI SMB Bundle offers a free-to-start package with $12,000 in annual Oracle cloud credits, giving small businesses AI tools to build products from day one.
Deep Trust AI Architecture: Trust as a Property of the Stack
If the OpenAI partnership was about capability, the Deep Trust AI Architecture was about guardrails. Announced Monday, the architecture is a blueprint for making trust a built-in property of the enterprise stack rather than a responsibility left to every individual agent and application.
The architecture embeds trust into four critical layers—software platform, data, data access, and application development. Oracle Deep Data Security enforces end-user access rules directly in the Oracle AI Database, verifying identity through cryptographically signed tokens and applying Oracle SQL Assertions to enforce business rules (say, blocking charges above an employee's spending limit) regardless of which application, user, or agent submits the request.
Oracle Deep Trust Data APIs give agents and applications controlled read and write access to logical business objects rather than arbitrary SQL, so they interact only with what a task requires. And Oracle Deep NL2SQL helps AI interpret natural-language business questions by combining business knowledge—terminology, practices, metrics—with data knowledge, producing more accurate SQL than traditional approaches. Continuous Feedback Learning and Knowledge Change Verification let users correct responses, with corrections validated before entering the corporate knowledge base.
Agentic AI Across Fusion Applications
Oracle also showed how AI is reshaping its Fusion Cloud Applications. A new agentic AI platform, delivered through Oracle AI Success Navigator and built on the Oracle Fusion Setup and Configuration Registry (FSCR), combines specialized AI agents with Oracle implementation expertise and guided learning to help customers implement and modernize Fusion faster.
New Fusion Agentic Applications powered by Oracle Fusion Claw let organizations complete complex work at scale across finance, HR, supply chain, sales, and service. Two new experiences tied it together: Oracle Fusion Companion, an intelligent layer that understands business objectives and automatically coordinates the right transactions, workflows, approvals, and agents to get work done, and Oracle Fusion Agentic Home, the native AI experience within Fusion Applications. Users no longer need to know which application to navigate or which workflow to trigger—Fusion Companion figures that out while maintaining enterprise security and control.
The AI Data Platform: Shared Business Context for Agents
The Oracle AI Data Platform announcement addressed a foundational problem: agents need a shared understanding of business entities, relationships, policies, and workflows to operate at scale. New capabilities combine AI-assisted enterprise ontologies, semantic reasoning, and AI estate governance, while a new AI Data Platform Innovation Service turns AI opportunities into measurable business outcomes. The platform helps organizations monitor usage and costs, optimize token consumption, enforce controls, and deliver repeatable results.
OCI: Building the Next Decade of Infrastructure
Underpinning all of it was Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. OCI now spans more than 200 cloud services, with cloud infrastructure revenue hitting $7.4 billion in Q1 of fiscal 2027—up 121 percent year over year—and 850MW of new data center capacity delivered in the quarter.
The infrastructure announcements emphasized choice and fungibility. NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 systems and Vera CPUs are now generally available, with multigigawatt expansion planned. OCI Compute E7 instances will use sixth-generation AMD EPYC processors, and a multiyear Intel collaboration includes OCI X14 offerings powered by Diamond Rapids. Also, OCI plans to become the first hyperscaler outside Google to offer Google TPUs, starting in 2027 and ramping to gigawatt scale.
On the multicloud front, Snowflake is coming to OCI as a native, first-party service with unified billing, and Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud is now available in Mexico.
Ellison's Vision: Health, Robots, and What Comes Next
Larry Ellison's closing keynote ranged well beyond enterprise software. In a wide-ranging Q&A with Seema Verma, EVP and GM of Oracle Health and Life Sciences, Ellison discussed how AI could improve cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, new economic models prompted by robotics and AI, and his vision for fixing healthcare. It was part product roadmap, part provocation—and a reminder that Oracle sees its ambitions extending far beyond the data center.
The Takeaway
Oracle AI World 2026 made one thing clear: the company is betting that the winners in enterprise AI won't be those with the most powerful models in isolation, but those who embed AI into trusted data, governed systems, and the workflows people already use. Whether through the OpenAI partnership, the Deep Trust architecture, agentic Fusion applications, or a dramatically expanded infrastructure footprint, the message was consistent—AI that means business must be built into the business.
The proof, as Oracle itself noted, will be in the outcomes customers can see and measure. That's the bet the company is asking its customers to make.
